About Jon Schorsch
A veteran of the Port of Seattle Police Department and a graduate of the Seattle University School of Law, Jon Schorsch integrates his experience to provide guidance in matters of labor and employment. He stands out as a former intern with Teamsters Local 117, where he gained a firsthand knowledge of mediation, collective bargaining, and arbitration. While serving in this capacity, Jon Schorsch also took on an internship with the Mediation Clinic, through which he effectively co-mediated a case of employment discrimination filed with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).
Jon Schorsch began law school after completing a master's degree in public administration, which he pursued following his medical discharge from the police force. While in the police department, he played a key role in strategic and operations development, as well as overseeing the work and career growth of officers. Concurrently, Mr. Schorsch served in a number of specialized leadership positions, including explosive detection K-9 handler and marine operations supervisor.
Mr. Schorsch is an active advocate for disability rights in the workplace. He served as an alternate on the Washington State Governor's Committee on Disability Issues and Employment and is an active member of the National Federation of the Blind, as well as a participant in the Starbucks Diversity Mentorship Program.
